  • Odd socks day ( Monday 16th November) - Anti bullying week

    Anti-Bullying Week 16th-20th November 

    The theme of this year’s Anti-Bullying Week is United Against Bullying.  

    As part of this week, the children and staff of DJA will be taking part in Odd Socks Day on Monday 16th November. This an opportunity for children to express themselves and appreciate individuality. All the children have to do to take part is wear odd socks to school as part of their Academy uniform.

Whether you’re walking to school, riding on a country road or driving for work, the speed of traffic matters to your safety. The children will be learning in PSHE why speed matters on the roads around their homes and school.

  • Children in Need - 13.11.2020

    Children in Need is on Friday 13th November and our school community will be supporting this charity. 

    We have organised a school mufti day so please dress in something spotty, glittery, Children in Need themed or just plain comfy!

    Due to the current situation, and in line with our operating procedures, we are cashless and so will not be collecting money on the day.  Instead we would ask you to visit the website and make your donation.

  • Application for a Year 3 school place for September 2021

    Is your child due to move on to Junior School in September 2021 having completed the Infant phase of their education?

    You now need to apply for a Junior School place for your child.

    If you would like them to join Danesholme Junior Academy for Year 3 in September 2021, please make your application to our school no later than 15th January 2021.

    Year 3 school places are not automatically allocated even if you currently attend Danesholme Infant Academy.

    Please apply online at Northants County Council/Admissions.

  • Flu vaccine - Missed vaccination - letter from NHS

    Dear Parent/Guardian

     

    The School Aged Immunisation Service visited your school recently to offer the nasal flu vaccination. If your child is in Reception to Year 7 and missed this opportunity to be vaccinated and you would like your child to receive the vaccine please contact us to book an appointment at one of our community catch up clinics.

     

    If your child is in a clinical risk group or shielded group you can also access the vaccine via your GP surgery.

     

    To book an appointment please contact our 0-19 Admin hub on 0800 170 7055 (option 4).
